Star Point Block

You will need a 2 1/2" clear template square  and a ruler with a 30 degree angle. You can use any size template you prefer.  A 2 1/2" will make a 12 1/2" quilt block if you are using my designs. A larger template just makes a larger quilt block. so use whatever size you like.

Step 1:  Cut the fabric you need as you see here.

Step 2:  Sew together one green triangle from the left side and one yellow triangle.

Step 3:   Trim the yellow to a 30 degree
Lay your ruler on the fabric so the 30 degree line matches the seam.

*oops will be adding this picture soon*

Step 4. Sew on one of the green triangles from the right side

Step 5:  Lay the joined fabrics on a mini cutting mat

Place your template on the fabric so the corners of the template are placed as you see in the picture below. I center the bottom point of the template in the middle of the yellow between the two green sides.

The top corner of the template should be placed so the 1/4" lines cross on the point at the top.

Make sure you keep the template in place and don't let it move as you cut out around the template.

Now you have a Star Point Block!!
